Rules for Use for Posting to Forum

The web-based discussion forum for CanLead Forums is one avenue created for informed dialogue and to share ideas, knowledge and questions about the 2009 conference.

We hope you enjoy respectful dialogue and informed exchanges of information through this technological innovation.

• Messages posted to the CanLead Forums web site must be:
  • Polite
  • Respectful of other users
  • Respectful of the rights of others to state their opinions
  • Not repetitive of questions or concerns already raised and responded to
• Posted messages should deal with a single issue and be succinct in nature.
• The forum may not be used to promote outside or personal or commercial interests.
• Users can briefly refer to other written documents but should not lift long passages of text from a document.
• When a short excerpt is used it should be referenced to the source, acknowledging the source of that information.
• 'Give others the benefit of the doubt.'
• 'Think before you send'

- Please, never post a message if you are upset or emotional – take the time to reflect and post the message when you are ready to state your considered opinion in a dispassionate manner.
