CanLead Forum and The Institute for Specialized Ministries

CanLead is a project of The Institute for Specialized Ministries, sponsored by Westminster College.  The Institute recognized the need for specialized training in youth ministry for mainline church leaders.  Established in 2007, The Institute is committed to training church leaders for the 21st century. 

CanLead Forum carries out the mission of the Institute for Specialized Ministries

by exposing church leaders and congregations to leading practices in youth ministry.  CanLead Forum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice.  The Institute sponsors training in youth ministry, with an emphasis on the Canadian context.

Brad Morrison (Chair) is a minister at Grace United Church in Sarnia, Ontario and teaches pastoral theology at Huron University College in London. brad@canleadforum.com

Robin McGauley (Secretary) is Program Coordinator at Five Oaks Education and Retreat Centre and is support staff for the Neos youth ministry training program. robin@canleadforum.com

Bev Robinson is Education and Program Minister at the London Conference Office of The United Church of Canada. bev@canleadforum.com

Spence Edwards is the Synod Youth Consultant with the Synod of Southwestern Ontario (The Presbyterian Church in Canada). spence@canleadforum.com

Phil Newman has been a minister in The United Church of Canada for 25 years, and he has been minister at Riverside United Church since 1996.  phil@canleadforum.com

Judy Steers is coordinator for youth initiatives for the Anglican Church of Canada and the director of the "Ask & Imagine" youth theology program at Huron University College. jsteers@national.anglican.ca
